Never Mined before, are there ways to locate the mineral in a dungeon?

Howdy.  I need something in the miners point shop and it seems to get it I need to mine minerals for points.  Just curious how we can locate the mineral points, or if they are truly random and you just need to teleport around every dungeon and hope to spot one?

They are random in all dungeons.

basically if you found the dungeon for the day, it spawns on the same map within 10 minutes
